Introduction
Affiliate Blogger simply is a Marketer that utilizes
a blog in promoting affiliate product.
They that last long in the field of affiliate
marketing are the ones that deemed it fit to set up an affiliate business blog
for themselves. This is because at a point, an affiliate blog will become an
autopilot blog that keeps on bringing in money to you for years to come. An affiliate
blog helps you with advertising or promoting a product effectively, in that it
generates free traffic from various sources. E.g. Google search engine. It set you
apart as an authority and it also shows your knowledge in the particular niche you’re
promoting. Having a blog can help you to
achieve numerous things amongst them are:
·
Attract
traffic from search engines
·
Establish
yourself as an authoritative voice in your niche.
·
Cultivate
relationships with your audience and earn their trust.
·
Promote
affiliate products and services in a multitude of different ways

To know more about blogging on its own, I
have an in-depth guide here>>>
There are seven ways you can utilize your Affiliate blog to promote affiliate offerings and earn money.
Let's
dive right in...
1. Create a content post that promotes a
specific offer
Some of
the posts you publish on your blog serve as a means of establishing credibility
with your audience.
In
other postings, you may compose what amounts to a product advertisement (i.e. a
direct pitch).
Here, I
propose combining the two by sharing quality information and advertising an
offer.
Have
you ever encountered a "advertorial" in a newspaper or magazine?
These are paid advertising that resemble articles in appearance and text.
Because
of they are so effective.
They DO
NOT resemble advertisements, so people begin reading them.
They
contain valuable information, so people continue to read them... directly to
the advertisement (which is usually, but not always, at the end of the
article).
You may
get the same results on your blog by publishing promotional articles:
·
Create
an article on how to prepare a large dinner for an event. Include affiliate
links for kitchenware that is intended for preparing huge quantities of food.
·
Publish
an essay about how to educate a dog to respond to its name. Include an
affiliate link for an informational product on dog training.
·
Write
an article on hair styling techniques. Ensure that all of these techniques
involve hair extensions, and then use an affiliate link to sell hair
extensions.
·
Produce
an article on retirement savings strategies. Include your affiliate link to a
book or ebook on retirement savings.
·
Post an
article on your blog on how to make money on eBay by buying and selling
antiques. Include an eBay affiliate link.
When you understand the secrets of article marketing, even affiliate marketing will become and easy task.
2. Write a Review
People
are constantly seeking reviews of specific products.
If you
conduct keyword research, you will discover a large number of queries similar
to "[product name] review." Therefore, you can attract some visitors
with your product reviews.
However,
it is NOT all.
Your
product reviews will also be appreciated by your regular readers.
You
have built a friendship with these individuals.
They
have faith in you. Therefore, they rely on you to provide them with an accurate
assessment of available products.
Here's how to write an outstanding review:
Step 1: Read and implement the product's
instructions.
This
one is apparent, right? Nonetheless, some individuals attempt to cut corners by
gleaning information from the sales letter and/or reading the evaluations of
other affiliates.
However,
your potential consumer may do the same thing. When he reads your blog, he is
NOT seeking for a synopsis of a sales letter or a restatement of someone else's
viewpoint.
He is
interested in YOUR viewpoint. And you can only provide it by reading and
utilizing the goods.
Step 2: Create a captivating title.
A blog
post with the headline "[Product Name] Review" is direct... yet it’s
also boring. You may build a little suspense by utilizing titles such as:
Example #1: The Real Story
Behind [Product].
What Every [Member of the
Target Audience] Should Know About [Product Name]
Example #3: Seven Unknown Facts
About [Product Name]
Step 3: Introduce your analysis with a
summary.
Some
individuals will not wish to sift through a lengthy evaluation to determine
whether you endorse the product. Therefore, you should begin your review with a
concise overview in which you: Inform the reader of the product's purpose and
features.
Share
the top two or three positive attributes of the product.
List one or two disadvantages.
Then,
at the end of the first paragraph, indicate whether you recommend the item or
not.
However,
the fact that some readers will only scan the review does not mean that you
should reveal everything in the first paragraph. You WANT your viewers to
continue reading since doing so allows you more time to offer the goods.
Here's how to keep readers engaged: Create
intrigue with this initial paragraph. For instance, while discussing a benefit
of the product, you could add, "This product offers something you won't
find ANYWHERE else (more on that in a moment)"
Step 4: Provide specifics.
You
will now proceed to offer a thorough, honest assessment of the product, warts
and all. Describe the positive and negative aspects of the product. Share your
results with the product if you've tried it (along with any proof of your
results).
Mentioning
the shortcomings and inadequacies will really boost your credibility. People
will have more faith in you. Consequently, they are more likely to purchase
from you.
Step 5: Conclude firmly.
You've
discussed the product's advantages and disadvantages. Now is the opportunity to
reaffirm your recommendation or lack thereof for the product.
If you
do recommend the product, briefly restate the reason(s) why, such as by
highlighting the product's top benefits. Then, solicit the reader's
participation by urging him or her to click the link and purchase the product.
Text
reviews are excellent, particularly when they contain screenshots or images of
the product. But video evaluations go a step further since you can actually
show someone the thing in greater detail, allowing them to visualize themselves
as the owner. Once a person imagines possessing a goods, they have essentially
decided to purchase it! How To Make Money Selling Other People's Stuff In Less
Than Three Hours Per Week All Rights Reserved. 7 pages
3. Obtain a Guest Post from the Product
Owner.
Consider this:
You
receive 50 percent (or more) of the profits while someone else performs all the
labor. Sounds too simple, correct?
In
fact, this is precisely what occurs when you ask a product owner to write an
article for you.
However,
you are permitted to include your affiliate link. Thus, you receive a
commission every time someone purchases from your link.
Added Value: When a
well-known expert (perhaps a "celebrity" in your niche) blogs on your
site, your blog's reputation is enhanced. People will believe you are an expert
if you link yourself with other experts. It's a terrific approach to promote
oneself immediately in any area.
Below
is a sample email template for your use. (Note
that this strategy works particularly well if you've already produced some
sales for this particular vendor, meaning he or she remembers you.)
—————————-
SUBJECT: [Name], I would want
to include you on my [niche name] blog...
To the [Name],
The readers of my blog want to
hear from you! If you have fifteen minutes, I would like to introduce you to
[number] prospective clients.
Here's the skinny...
My audience is eager to learn
more about [a solution to a specialized problem]. Clearly, your [product name]
is the greatest solution available on the market.
If you examine your records,
you will discover that I am already marketing your product extensively. I
believe I can increase your sales if you agree to write a guest blog post for
[blog URL].
You only need to compose a
brief post answering the query [urgent niche question]. Then I'll publish your
article alongside my affiliate link.
You should experience increased
sales within hours.
Hit the reply button and let me
know whether you like the article topic or if you'd rather write about [another
niche topic] instead.
Thank you beforehand!
Sincerely,
[Your Title]
[Your URL]

4. Include a Product Excerpt in Your
Recommendation
Let me
be crystal clear from the outset: The product owner's permission is required if
you intend to use this incredibly useful.
Do NOT
attempt to interpret the "fair use" statute and everything else.
Simply obtain authorization, and you won't have to worry about entering any
murky regions of the law.
Now
that that is out of the way, let's discuss the actual advice...
The
purpose of posting a teaser is to whet the appetite of the prospect for the
information product.
Remember
earlier when I stated that individuals are more likely to purchase a product
after imagining themselves using it?
This is
also true in this instance, as reading a real excerpt makes it simpler to
visualize ownership.
In
light of this, allow me to suggest a few ways to make your excerpt more
compelling:
1) Use an image capture (or video).
Certainly, you could just publish a text excerpt on your blog; it would
resemble any other article. Consider posting a screenshot or video of the
excerpt as an alternative. It's that ownership psychology thing again.
2) Generate a PDF version of the product. This
is a potent example. Instead of generating a screenshot, you generate a PDF
that is identical to the actual product. You include the table of contents
(with the exception of the excerpt chapter, which is "grayed out" to
signify that the reader cannot access all chapters). Additionally, you may
include the author's page, copyrights, etc.
If you
were providing an excerpt from the first chapter, your table of contents may be
as follows:
Listing of Contents
What Every Affiliate Should
Know About Blogging, Chapter 1.
What Every Affiliate Should
Understand About Video Marketing
What every Affiliate Needs to
Know About Social Media (And so on.)
Following
the table of contents is the extract.
However,
here's the catch: Your excerpt must end on a cliffhanger!
If you
are excerpting a list of 21 tips, you should just include the first seven. You
may even pause in the middle of a statement! Then, you put your affiliate link
with a note instructing readers to click on the link to continue reading.
Each
chapter may have its own page, as suggested. In place of excerpts, you write a little
advertisement for the chapter. In other words, you list the advantages and what
the reader will learn.
5. Consult with the Product Owner
Here's
another option to have the product owner do nearly all the work while you reap
the benefits of: Profit sharing. Being connected with a niche specialist.
Instead
of having the product owner write an article, you conduct an interview with the
individual.
At the
conclusion of the interview, you discuss the product (using YOUR affiliate
link).
Here is how it operates:
First, you establish a
teleconference bridge line (using a service like e-teleconferencing.com or
similar).
Step two involves inviting
product owners to a live teleconference.
You can
use the email template I provided before, but instead of requesting the product
owner to create an article, you should request an interview. Also, request
thirty minutes, forty-five minutes, or even an hour of their time.
Step three:
publicize the free (live) interview call on your blog and other online
platforms. Also request that the product owner notify his mailing list and blog
readers of the call.
Step four is to record the live
call. The majority of teleconference bridge lines have this function and will
send you an MP3 file. If you have the necessary equipment to record the call
from home, you can also create a backup recording.
Distribute
the MP3 file for download on your website. Give it to the proprietor of the
goods to disseminate on his or her website.
One
final tip...
Ensure
that you receive a great deal of information during the call.
DO NOT
convert this call into a sales pitch, as no one enjoys dialing in to hear
advertisements.
However,
if you provide your audience with valuable but incomplete content, they will
gladly listen to your pitch towards the end of the call (which tells them how
to get more info).
Suppose
you were conducting an interview with me on affiliate marketing. Several of
these affiliate marketing tips could be subject to your questions.
We
would examine several of them in depth. Then, we would direct listeners to your
affiliate link for this report at the conclusion of the session.
6. Employ Text Ads
Not all
promotions need to be included in your real blog content. You have ample space
around your blog to place advertisements.
You can
also employ ad rotation scripts and plug-ins to determine which ads have the
highest conversion rates (so that you can show the best ads more frequently).
There are a few things you must do if you
want to receive ad clicks:
1) Post relevant, targeted advertisements. The
more the relevance and specificity of your advertisements, the greater the
response rate. Therefore, you will likely do better if you post ads for
copywriting books on copywriting blogs rather than general "get
money" blogs.
It is
preferable to put a "how to train a poodle" advertisement on a poodle
blog rather than a general "how to train a dog" advertisement.
If you
have divided your blog into numerous categories and subcategories, you should
display advertising that are laser-focused on the themes within each category.
2) Test the appearance of your
advertisements. Creating text advertisements that LOOK like
content increases the click-through rate for many blogs. Due to the reader's
"ad blindness," advertisements that appear like advertisements are
typically ignored.
Will it
serve your needs? The only way to know for certain is to test it yourself and
observe the results.
3) Create persuasive ads. You
have a certain target audience. You display relevant, tailored advertisements.
You will not receive clicks (much less sales) if your advertising are not
compelling.
This is
the key: The purpose of a short advertisement is to
obtain a click.
Do NOT
attempt to sell the product in that slot, as there is insufficient room.
Instead, your advertisement only needs to convince the reader to click on it.
To
accomplish this, your advertisement must have a compelling, eye-catching
headline and a persuasive body with a substantial value.
Let me
provide some examples...
——-
Do You Poison Your Infant?
According to new research,
"safe" meals are actually hazardous to your youngster. Click here to
find out if your infant is truly secure...
——-
Clearly,
the above advertisement employs shock and intrigue. However, if you had a
child, would you click? Probably. This advertisement is quite emotionally
packed.
Ensure
that there is a "payoff" when the reader clicks through if you employ
an emotionally-charged advertisement. In other words, avoid misleading or
deceptive advertising.
Another
example:
——-
Former Waitress Achieves
Success Rich Waitress rises from $7.50 per hour to $750 thousand! Click here to
obtain the free report that reveals how she accomplished it, as well as how you
can do it too!
——-
This
advertisement would be ideal for an affiliate link leading to a landing page
for a free report.
7. Incorporate Banners and Buttons
You are
not limited to plain text advertisements.
Your
blog can also include banners, buttons, and other graphical advertisements.
Again,
the idea is to test your graphic advertisements.
Some
individuals disregard blinking and flashing banners because of ad blindness.
Whether or not this is true for your blog remains to be seen - test it! (You
can use an ad rotator to give each of your advertisements equal time.)
In most
cases, affiliate product manufacturers give affiliates with banners and
buttons. If your merchant does not, simply inquire.
If not,
you may make your own. This is how:
Step 1: Acquire graphics from a
low-cost stock photo website, such as iStockphoto.com. Look for something
captivating, such as faces, infants, money, adorable animals, etc. (They tend
to be effective due to the emotional response people have while viewing these
types of photographs.) Ensure that the image is relevant to the product you are
offering.
Step 2: Use a graphics application such as
Canva or the Evanto Elements
to make the banner itself.
Please
note that the typical sizes for banners and images are 125 x 125 pixels, 120 x
24 pixels, 468 x 60 pixels, etc. Nonetheless, you need not be so rigorous. In
fact, you may discover greater results if you use a nonstandard title such as graphical
elements such as ovals in place of rectangles, octagons in place of squares,
etc. Try it for yourself and find out! Better still, you can outsource at: Fiverr, Elance market, or Truelancer.
Step 3: Create persuasive copy. Even
if you're designing a graphical banner or other ad, the words you use in the ad
will determine whether people click on it or not. Refer back to the last piece
of advice to understand how to write an effective advertisement.
